Westin, Seattle and other bonding plan for May 2010

I am getting excited as the days goes by...

Soon, more family members will be coming over to spend their time with us...

So far, the only planned activity is a trip for an overnight stay at Westin, Seattle for a great price of $159/night for 2 rooms... Mom and Ken as well as Kenny and Alanna will be joining us.

I can't book trips right away because my mom and brother will be arriving on May 1st and I don't want to keep my hopes up befote they really are here before I get too excited. It is still a month to go and plans may change...My brother in law amd his wife will be arriving on the 7th from an earlier trip in US of A.

I do have some that are planned on top of my head:

* Victoria probably wo Kelvin and Kenzo
* Whistler day tour or if I find a hotel with a good price, an overnight is even better
* Downtown by skytrain and seabus then Canada Line route to visit the Airport and other new stops
... Still thinking since I plan to tour them to nearby places furst before going farther...

I'd love feedbacks on great places to go that won't require me to break the piggy bank :)

Ice skating @ Robson square

I've always loved skating so when Robson square opened once again with an ice rink for the Olympics, I just couldn't let the chance pass us by.

* Kimi waiting on the sidelines

* A skate duo

* Pa-cute little snow princess

Even if it would mean braving the cold weather and using elevators and ramps just to have Kimi experience the Olympics with me, it was well worth it.

Co- sleeping

Some are for it while others are against it...

Source: Green Parenthood

What are your views?

We do co-sleeping by choice. We love having their small bodies close to us and time really is short and we want to cherish every bit of it even the sleeping moment. Whatever it is, co-sleeping means one thing- no movement :-p tight spaces, especially when your toddler wants to co-sleep with 4 of her stuff toys as well.

Oh well! Like parent, like children :)

Raising daughters...

Having kids makes me want to be a better person and makes me really scared of every little things that I do which might affect their persona...I know that I will be probably more protective of Kimi just for the fact that she is a girl... I know there is no formula to raising kids but this one does comes close to what I hope to achieve in raising my Kimi.

I came across this entry reading a blog from one of my good friend, G. Posted it here to share it to everyone.

Thanks G

The relationship between mothers and their daughters is an incredibly strong one. Moms raising girls have the power to shape the next generation of women and those to come by teaching their kids important lessons.

1. That confidence and independence are beautiful.
2. That size doesn't matter, but wasting her time worrying about it does.
3. That brilliance should never be downplayed.
4. That emotions are liberating so she should go ahead and laugh, cry or scream.
5. To always have enough i
money to pay her own way, but to be gracious when someone else treats. And to be generous with what she has.
6. To not make age an excuse for her actions.
7. That "mean girls" are really just insecure.
8. That she has an amazing power to make a difference in life.
9. To actively pursue her dreams especially those that seem unattainable.
10. That the love she will give and receive is limitless.

Kenzo @ 3 months

Another month has passed and Kenzo's finally on his 3rd month mark...

* Mini Karl and Mini meL

What are you up to now?

* Loving each other

* Bath Time  :)

Kenzo smiles a whole lot this month. He does tummy time and just loves attention. He is outgrowing a lot of his clothes now and sleeps easily whenever mommy tries to give him a stroll in his stroller.

* Hunk of a baby

He finally made up his mind to sleep with us at the adult bed and his favorite sleeping position is on his side.

* Can't contain my happiness...

He drinks more formula at this stage although he still gets breatmilk via bottle in the morning and feeds direct at night.

* In Daddy's Arms

* Getting bigger... And better

Can't wait to see what you'll be doing next month little one... Happy 3rd month. We love you a lot :)

Passport to the world...

I love going places and have done a lot of that while I was single...

Now that I have 2 babies, it's all about planning and travelling takes on a new direction... But like they said if there's a will...there always is a way

So, the first step is to fix the passport.

Hmmm, where would Kenzo's first trip be....?

Family lunch @ New Age

Now, get togethers like these are done for about once a month.

Kimi was all dressed up, waiting for nana at the top of the stairs.

* Old Navy dress, Gymboree sweater from Auntie Glenda.

* With 2nd cousins Caitlyn and Avery

The thorn among the roses... What a handsome thorn. :) Tommy Hillfiger onesies, The Children's place vest, Gymboree pants and Old Navy shoes.

Bath chair, fun chair

It's a new chair for taking a fun bath and I got this for a bargain :). It's a little bulky but it does serve it's purpose and Kenzo seems to like using this one...

Another farm visit

Kimi seems to enjoy kid attractions more these past few months. She expresses her happiness whenever we make plans for a family bonding time and continuously reminds us so...

(her favorite mantra after a family bonding)
Kimi: imi happy ah.

I always feel a burst of pride whenever she expresses her appreciation over simple things and when her face lights up as she realizes that we are going on a kid trip...

* The front reception and souvenir store

* Kimi enjoys chasing the ducks. She was surprised the chicken and ducks were roaming freely

* Papa enjoys watching her princess have fun

* Another take at the goathill visiting area

* Kimi tries to feed the bunnies

* Papa cleans up the hay from Kimi's shoes

* There is a cute girl by the bridge

* Such a big cow

* i don't know what these are but they are inside the goat area... They look like lamb or sheep?!

* A goodlooking horse
